Piethorne Academy
Created for The Listeners. Boy's single-breasted blazer, part of the uniform of Piethorne Academy. The school badge is stitched to the breast pocket: embroidered in red, cream and sky blue silks on dark wool over an embossed linen backing, comprising of the coats of arms of the school. Quarterly, first azure a rose gules, second and third gules a cinquefoil or, fourth bleu celeste a magpie proper.
One explanation for Piethorne's name is that "pie" is contraction of magpie, and "thorne" for hawthorn, both bird and bush common to the area.
