Created for The Listeners. A section of hand painted chinoiserie-style wallpaper depicting wilted and dying flowers. From a distance the wallpaper seems to present healthy foliage.
Only on closer inspection can it be seen that the flowers have wilted and the plants are dying. The pattern aims to act as a memento mori, an artistic or symbolic trope acting as a reminder of the inevitability of death.
