Imperial Suite Bathroom Tiles
Tiled Frieze
Created for A Gentleman in Moscow, a set of eight glazed earthenware tiles designed for the bathroom of the "Imperial Suite" of the Hotel Metropol. The tiles displayed as a freize, take festoon and wreath ornaments typical of of the French "Empire" style and reproduces them in a style typical of the Art Nouveau. They share many similarities with a stained glass panel taken from the same suite.
