Despatch Box
Created for Renegade Nell. A tooled leather despatch box for the Household of Queen Anne. Used by the Soverign and her ministers to securely transport documents.
Covered in red morocco leather and hand tooled in gold, the front of the box is decorated with a with a triptych consisting of two A.R insignias and the British royal coat of arms with the motto 'Semper Eadem'. All the surfaces are bordered with multiple foliate and floral designs depicting roses and thistles.
The brass escutcheon is supported by a lion and unicorn from the royal coat of arms. The lining in marbled paper.
